Overview

The Project Management Intermediate, under general direction, is responsible for all aspects of the evaluation, development and implementation of assigned projects and provides a single point of contact.

Responsibilities

  • Take projects from original concept through final implementation. Defines project scope and objectives.
  • Develops detailed project plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, test plans and status reports.
  • Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.
  • Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.
  • Manages the integration of project tasks and tracks deliverables.
  • Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
  • Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences, Business, Technical Writing or related field of study plus 3 years of experience initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing projects - OR -  High School diploma plus 7 years of experience initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling and closing projects.  

 

Must be able to provide examples of successful large-scale and complex full lifecycle implementations. Be proficient in using Microsoft Office Professional software suite and have working knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio.

 

Licenses/Certifications:  Lean Training; Agile/Scrum or Six Sigma Greenbelt 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years or more experience in a lead role with teams or projects.
  • Three years of experience in the field of academic application systems evaluation and development, including testing.
  • Project Management experience with one or more of the following: PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Banner, or SAP. Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Banner, Blackboard or similar academic applications.
  • PMP Certification
