The Trauma Registrar I, is responsible for administrative and executive support related tasks and projects for the trauma program. This position is responsible for data collection, data entry, data validation and statistical analysis for the Arkansas designated Level 1 Trauma Center as required by the Arkansas Department of Health, and the National Trauma Data Bank with the ability to work independently with little or no supervision.

80% - Performs data abstraction and data entry using established rules and definitions set by the National Trauma Data Bank (NTDB), Trauma Quality Improvement Program (TQIP), and Arkansas Trauma Registry (ATR) required standards.
10% - Participates in required training and successful application of TQIP, utilization of e-codes, Abbreviated Injury Scale (AIS) and International Classification of Diseases, Tenth (ICD-10) coding.
10% - Provides administrative support to Program Director, Medical Director, and Chief of Acute Care Surgery, including, but not limited to preparing reports and presentations. Participation in performance improvement projects and American College of Surgeons (ACS) site survey preparation. May perform other duties assigned.
High School diploma/GED plus 4 years work experience in an acute care hospital, database management or office administration OR Associate's degree plus 2 years in an acute care hospital, database management or office administration OR Bachelor's degree required.
