  • Overview

    The Research Instructor fulfills the educational, research, and patient care goals of the organization including assisting in teaching residents how to develop, fund, perform, collect data, and report on research projects. This position will work towards independent research projects and support. The duties of Assistant Research Professor contribute in the effort to further the mission of UAMS: To improve the health and health care of Arkansans.

    • Serve as a mentor for junior faculty members conducting their own research.
    • Develop research studies and research curricula to teach residents research methodology and reporting.
    • Prepare and present formal research lectures in research and other related topics for residency and medical student training as required by the department.
    • Publication and presentation of outcomes.

    • Performs related responsibilities as required or assigned.
    • Ability to communicate effectively.

    M.D. or PhD, in specific discipline plus 3 years of post-doctoral experience required.
