    The Parking Ambassador is a member of the Parking Operations team and is responsible for providing direct customer service and enforcing UAMS parking regulations.

    Salary: $22,919 annually ($11.02 hourly)



    1. Assists in assuring proper maintenance of facilities and equipment.
    2. Performs routine maintenance tasks which include but are not limited to factory recommended preventive maintenance procedures, replacing broken gate arms, clearing ticket jams, replacing tickets in dispensing devices, maintaining the appearance of parking equipment and high traffic areas, etc.
    3. Performs lot counts to identify available spaces and report to manager.
    4. Assists department with Special Event management. Duties include but are not limited to overseeing event attendee access into specific parking areas, coordinating with others to redirect event attendees to secondary parking areas, managing traffic flow, assisting customers with directions, and maintaining consistent and timely status reporting to supervisor.
    5. Cross-trains between Field Ambassador and RPMS Ambassador.
    6. Monitors cameras and remotely manages access into and out of the facilities following appropriate processes and documenting exceptions. 
    7. May perform other duties as assigned including managing inclement weather.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED 
    • Valid Arkansas Driver’s license
    • Basic computer skills (Preferably Microsoft Office)
    • Basic office skills (entering data, printing reports, answering the phone, and making copies)

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Customer Service experience

    • Must represent UAMS in a professional manner; communicate in a clear, friendly, and effective way, must maintain clean and orderly uniform and personal appearance, must display proper body language at all times.
    • Must be able to tolerate extended periods of time outside in extreme weather.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Ability to read and write English and perform simple math.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to follow instructions.
    • Must be comfortable communicating regularly using a radio and maintain composure in stressful or emergency situations.
