  • Overview

    This position will assist with removal of all bio hazardous waste streams from the UAMS Campus and surrounding sites, segregate, pack and prepare for shipment to a disposal facility.

    Salary: $19,798.00 ($9.52/ hr.)


    1. Collection of all bio hazardous waste from pre-determined areas.
    2. Segregate all bio hazardous waste, pack and/ properly seal waste containers and prepare for off campus disposal.
    3. Interact with other hospital departments and vendors to provide efficient and safe hazardous waste services.
    4. Maintain log for all work performed.
    5. Maintain cleanliness of area and perform periodic preventive maintenance on equipment utilized.
    6. May perform other duties as assigned

    This position is declared as essential during inclement weather and may include rotating weekends.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • 2 years of customer service experience, including 1 year in a health-care or regulatory environment
    • Must have a valid Arkansas driver's license

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Must have proven customer service skills 

     Preferred Qualifications:

    • 2-5 years of experience in a health-care or regulatory environment OR 3-5 years of customer service experience in a logistic based customer facing role
