    Institutional Services Assistant

     

    In conjunction with other assistants and under the direction of a supervisor, the Institutional Services Assistant cleans dishes, the kitchen area, food preparation equipment, and utensils. The Institutional Services Assistant also removes trash while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

    Salary: $19,326 annually ($9.29 hourly) 

    Responsibilities

    1. Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using a dishwasher or manually then places clean dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment in designated storage areas.
    2. Maintains kitchen work areas, floors, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition while correctly using and storing appropriate chemical and cleaning supplies.
    3. Sorts and removes trash then places it in designated pickup areas and clean/line garbage containers accordingly.
    4. Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

    • High School diploma/GED.
