    **Rotating Shifts - Hours Vary**


     


    The Poison Control specialist works in a 24/7 call center handling calls regarding toxic or potentially toxic exposures received from the public and provides recommendations regarding potentially poisoned individuals.  S/He provides toxicity and drug information to healthcare providers and the public throughout Arkansas along with providing toxicology phone consultation with PC Specialists and other healthcare professionals.

    Salary offered commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities


    1. Provides information and treatment advice to callers regarding toxic exposures or potentially toxic exposures.

    2. Creates and updates electronic medical records.

    3. Provides educational information on toxic substances and drug substances to callers.

    4. Assists in the education/instruction of professional students and residents.

    5. May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:



    • PharmD, Pharmacy License OR RN degree

    • Must be licensed professional in the state of Arkansas by hire date

    • Intermediate proficiency with computers (MS Office preferred)

    • Experience using multi-line phone system


     


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Emergency Room experience

    • Critical care experience

    • Nursing experience with current BLS
