    The Clinical Application Analyst Senior supports IT Patient Systems, primarily Epic Grand Central/Prelude applications.

    Salary:  commensurate with experience

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications.
    • Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it.
    • Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations.
    • Documents and follow system change control procedures for the system.
    • Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs.
    • Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices.
    • Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization.
    • Prepares activity and other reports as necessary.
    • Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts.
    • Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy.
    • Provides On-Call support for application.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Associates degree in Information Technology, Healthcare or related field of study plus 7 years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two - OR-  Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare or related field of study plus 5 years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two.

    Experience listed above must include: 

    • Three (3) years’ experience in Healthcare with supporting Patient Scheduling, Patient Registration, Patient Access, or Ambulatory clinic operations - OR - three (3) years’ experience administering a software application used for patient scheduling, patient registration, patient access, or managing ambulatory clinic operations.
    • Two (2) years’ experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint)

     

    Preferred Qualfications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare or related field 

     

    The preferred experience must include:

    • Two (2) years of experience with two or more of the following: software implementation, software testing, software table maintenance, forms design, report writing.
    • One (1) year Project Management and the use of PM tools or comparable tools to: Microsoft Visio, Project, Project Server, and/or SharePoint.
    • Epic Grand Central, Cadence, or Prelude Certification Preferred.
