  • Overview

    The Administrative Coordinator resolves problems, oversees the coordination and execution of projects, develops and prepares reports, and organizes meetings and events by providing a high level of office management and administrative support to the CRNA and DNP program directors and provides administrative support for faculty in the CRNA and DNP programs.  The Administrative Coordinator manages calendars/schedules, composes correspondence, coordinates meetings, takes meeting minutes and communicates with faculty and staff within the College as well as other areas around campus and external stakeholders/partners. The nature of this job requires the incumbent to be customer-oriented, outgoing, and friendly.

    Responsibilities

    Office Management and Administrative Support

    • Serves as the initial point of contact for CON’s CRNA and DNP office; greets all visitors in a professional, friendly and welcoming manner.
    • Interacts with and assists in a professional and friendly manner as needed. Demonstrates effective communication skills; communicates accurate and complete information; maintains strict confidentiality when necessary. Demonstrates positive working relationships with co-workers, management team, and ancillary departments; follows the Core Concepts of Patient and Family Centered Care and the Basic Code of Conduct Guidelines. Assist internal and external stakeholders as needed with exceptional customer service.
    • Manages projects and duties by keeping necessary officials informed, providing reports, tracking outcomes, following/owning processes from start to finish and maintaining project timelines.
    • Solves problems on behalf of the business office by collaborating with departments within the College as well as divisions across campus and external stakeholders.  Responds to requests from the Dean, other Associate Deans, program directors, faculty and staff.
    • Uses own initiative to assist the directors of the CRNA and DNP programs and other faculty/staff in roles and responsibilities.
    • Serves as the point of communication for the CRNA and DNP phone messages and mail delivery.
    • Composes correspondence, coordinates meetings, takes meeting minutes and communicates with faculty and staff within the College as well as other areas around campus and external stakeholders/partners at the request of the directors of the CRNA and DNP programs.
    • Provides estimates and vendor information and completes paperwork for purchase requests, and performs other administrative tasks required to run an efficient office.
    • Other duties, as assigned. 

    CRNA and DNP Program and Faculty Support

    • Responsible for Typhon system management and activities to included but not limited to data entry, tracking, and training. 
    • Assists with, manages and facilities various aspects related to graduate program IPE activity tracking.
    • Assists with management and facilitation of clinical contracts/affiliation agreements and preceptor credentialing.
    • Assists with preparation of accreditation/self-studies, and annual program reports.
    • Updates the directors and other pertinent faculty and staff on status of projects and indicated work processes. 
    • Works with the CRNA and DNP program directors to coordinate CRNA and DNP events, such as orientation and capstone projects.
    • Updates CRNA and DNP alumni records to include publications, employment, grant activities, etc., in conjunction with Student Services and Alumni Affairs.
    • Other duties, as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, English, Creative Writing or related field and 2 (two) years of administrative experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 6 years of experience in Business Administration, English, Creative Writing or related field
    • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Administrative office and office management experience
