    The Office of Educational Development (OED) at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences is seeking a faculty member to provide educational assessment and evaluation expertise in collaboration with colleagues across the campus. This is a full-time position with rank and salary commensurate with the individual’s education and experience.

    Salary offered commensurate with experience.


    1. Works closely with other health educators across UAMS colleges to deliver the highest quality learning and assessment strategies.
    2. Advises faculty on student assessment strategies, methods, and tools.
    3. Conducts collaborative research to evaluate the effectiveness of educational practice.
    4. Analyzes data regarding educational outcomes.
    5. Supports and promotes scholarly activity of faculty.
    6. May perform other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Doctoral degree in a relevant social or behavioral science discipline OR a Masters degree PLUS at least four (4) years of experience in conducting program evaluation, data analysis or educational research
    • Advanced skill in research, program assessment and evaluation
    • Experience in data analysis (quantitative and qualitative) using statistical software package(s)
    • Experience in higher education (ideally, health professions education), curriculum design, educational outcomes assessment, or educational/behavioral research
    • Ability to collaborate with a broad range of health professionals on educational projects
    • Record of participation in scholarly work (e.g. design, implementation, analysis, publication and presentation)
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and written and oral communication ability

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Scholarly professional experience demonstrated through previous research and innovation in education with a publication/publication record in peer-reviewed presentations and scholarly journals
    • Experience in leading interdisciplinary teams of health professionals to improve program outcomes
