    The Project Manager will be responsible for implementing and managing community-based programs according to grant work plan and timeline. Specifically, the Project Manager will be responsible for managing relationships with local community based and non-profit organizations. This person will maintain efficient communication among professional and community partners, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure that the goals and objectives of the grant are met.

    This is a provisional position.  Provisional positions are funded by external grants or contracts with established end dates.  When the grant expires or is not extended, the provisional position will be eliminated.  Employees in provisional positions may apply for other positions at UAMS when their provisional position ends.


    • Manages implementation of grant activities according to workplan and project timelines.
    • Manages relationships and community outreach efforts to ensure delivery of programs in the community. Manages community stakeholder, contractor, and other partner relationships. Organize and facilitate meeting with stakeholders.
    • Writing multiple required reports and managing documentation.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in health, sociology, psychology, business or related field plus four years of project manager experience.

    Required Skills:

    • Able to understand and analyze complex human subject research issues. 
    • Ability to work independently and interdependently;
    • Experience with Microsoft Office.
    • Valid drivers' license required with current automobile insurance and reliable car for moderate travel to UAMS in Little Rock, AR and surrounding communities.
