The Licensed Mental Health Professional (LMPH) for the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Pulaski County Regional Crisis Unit (PCRCSU) provides clinical psychosocial services, internal care management, coordination of services during stay and for post discharge, performs discharge planning and follow up contacts for PCRCSU clients and families from admission to discharge. The LMHP provides clinical services to client on the unit including assessment, individual interventions, crisis interventions, treatment planning, group therapy, and discharge planning. The LMHP participates in the multidisciplinary team to stabilize the client in acute crisis, assist in the development of the plan of care, and develop a comprehensive discharge plan with the goal of stabilizing the client in the community. The LMPH serves as a liaison for benefits and coordination of care, including any payment issues. The LMHP will provide direction and oversight for patient service associates who will assist the LMHP with care coordination tasks for post discharge. The LMHP develops productive relationships with community agencies that will assist the team in creating an effective discharge plan for PCRCSU clients. The LCSW has direct patient and family care contact and documents in the electronic health record. The LCSW is also responsible for participation in quality improvement and staff development activities at the department level.
