    Applications Systems Analyst/SQL Database Developer/Analyst Senior work as part of the Arkansas Center for Health Improvement (ACHI) Data Team primarily developing and maintaining ACHI analytic data warehouse solutions utilizing SQL Server.

    Responsibilities

    • Supports contributing data systems, file management, conducts analysis using statistical software and preparing tables and reports as needed.
    • Manages and maintains the GIS infrastructure using ArcGIS.
    • Involved with the maintenance, development, and deployment to Microsoft Azure.
    • Conducts extract, transform and load (ETL) analysis, designs ETL processes, maintains process and system documentation, conducts application unit testing, assists in application functional, integrated, and performance testing; resolves problems, and participates in "on call" support for internal staff.
    • Build and maintain database systems
    • Extract, transform and load (ETL) processes
    • Conduct database design, installations, conversions
    • Conduct database backup and recovery procedures, access security and database integrity, physical data storage design and data storage management
    • Design, develop and implement reports in SSRS
    • Administer and maintain GIS environment
    • Complete definition of standards of data dictionaries
    • Perform performance tuning
    • Monitor database performance and space requirements
    • Schedule and monitor end of day data warehousing jobs
    • Assist in coordinating software releases
    • Communicate accurate and useful status updates
    • Maintain quality standards
    • Production environment Tools/Utilities
    • Author shell scripts to perform back up, restore, and monitoring tasks
    • Create and document project requirements to fit in established Agile work-flow
    • Anticipate and resolve issues specific to the team
    • Determine time estimates and schedule for own work and resolve issues in a timely manner. Identify and track issues, risks and action items
    • Provide status of work to project team lead and project manager.
    • Engage in ongoing process improvement.
    • Ability to work in a project team environment
    • Ability to execute all responsibilities with little direct supervision of Team Lead
    • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
    • Possess business systems analysis and design experience
    • Knowledgeable in logical data modeling techniques
    • Knowledgeable in data analysis and database management techniques
    • Knowledgeable in utilization of both physical systems and cloud based systems
    • Possess administration and scripting experience in relative platform

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Social Science or related field
    • Eight (8) years of experience to include Microsoft SQL Server query language, multi-source database integration solutions, Microsoft SSIS and SSRS, ASP.Net solutions, GIS
    • Special Knowledge of below Applications:

    RDBMS - SQL SERVER

    SQL - Query Analyzer, Profiler, SQL MAIL, SQL Agent

    SQL Server Utility - SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server CLR, Redgate

    Warehouse/Reporting - SSRS, ETL

    Visualization - Tableau, Power BI, ArcGIS desktop

    Programming Languages - T-SQL,C#, Python, PHP

    Development Tools- BI Studio/Visual Studio 2013+, TFS

    Additional Skills is plus - XML, ASP.NET,VB.NET, Testing, Data Warehouse, DBA, SFTP, JAVA

    Data Model - Microsoft Visio

    Project Tracking - JIRA, TFS
