    The Laboratory Support Technician I provides comprehensive support for patient care activities within the laboratory.

    Salary: NEG.

    Responsibilities

    1. Receives specimens from all sources, verifies test information with the specimens and checks specimens for mislabeled and unlabeled specimens
    2. Loads specimens onto the Chemistry and Hematology automation line
    3. Delivers specimens to the Ordering Station and to performing departments
    4. Scans specimens into the EPIC system and re-labels specimens as needed
    5. Resolves specimens problems
    6. Processes timed urine specimens and Reference tests
    7. Performs other duties to support the patient care activities as needed
    8. Required to work a fluid schedule when needed
    9. Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
    • Must have basic computing and typing skills
