  • Overview

    The primary focus of the Sr. HR Information Analyst is to provide support and maintenance of all HR Systems in addition to other systems supported by the HR Information team.  The Sr. HR Information Analyst also provides reporting support on ad-hoc projects and consults with HR management on selection, application, and implementation of process automation.  It will also support the development, maintain and communicate a variety of UAMS and HR metrics through reports, scorecards queries and dashboards.

    Responsibilities

    Projects/Process Improvement-30%

    • Assist in the management and tracking of all HRIS changes, including manuals, rolling out training for changes, and upgrade testing
    • Assist in writing, maintaining and supporting a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools
    • Assist in development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs

    Production Support – 30%

    • Ensures data integrity of HRIS systems (SAP and TMS) through audits and continuous improvement in HR data entry and employee/manager self-service
    • Responsible for providing support for HRIS systems questions, issues and act as backup for the other areas with specialized sections (performance evaluation, employee leave process & others)
    • Troubleshoot all HRIS issues including user issues, integration issues and IT issues
    • Develop advanced HR analytics to support customer needs

    Customer Service - 20%

    • Perform all functions with a focus on delivering value to external customers
    • Optimize the customer's experience with HR systems

    Reports – 10%

    • Provide standard or ad-hoc reports to support projects or requests from UAMS departments, divisions, state/federal government, U of A System or FOI requests

    System Maintenance – 5%

    • Assist in the review, testing and implementation of the HRIS system upgrades or patches

    Other – 5%

    • Serve as the backup to the Sr. HR Director for Information Systems 
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Information Systems or a relevant field
    • Seven years of information system and business analytical experience (may substitute relevant education, i.e. academic year equals year of experience)
    • Significant demonstrated experience in customer service
    • Strong understanding of HR processes and data
    • Strong understanding of HRIS design, structure, functions and processes

    Prior to an in person interview, selected candidates must complete the UAMS MS Excel assessment to demonstrate intermediate level skills required to successfully meet job demands.  

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Masters in Business Information Systems 
    • Experience with SAP
    • Experience with upgrade analysis, testing and project lead
