    The Journeyman Plumber performs tasks that pertain to the general maintenance of the UAMS campus. Duties include, but not limited to: plumbing, preventative maintenance, replacing systems, steam regulators and testing /repairs back-flow devices etc.

    Salary $39,500.00 ($18.99 hourly)


    • Repairs, maintains and replaces plumbing systems, pumps, steam regulators, traps, relief valves, stills and condensate pumps.
    • Test and repairs back-flow devices.
    • Solders, cuts, threads, and lays out plumbing, steam, medical gas and sewer drain pipe.
    • Maintains critical systems, such as medical air, oxygen, vacuum, nitrous oxide and nitrogen for patients.
    • Estimates and prepares job for completion by researching, planning and making material list for order by foreman.
    • Ensures correct and accurate paperwork for department billing.
    • Responds to patient care problems, as well as customer and visitor problems.
    • Operates machinery such as backhoes, sewer machines, pipe threader, chop saw, drills.
    • Communicates with the Control Center, Foremen, timekeeper, customers and peers.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Five (5) years plumbing experience
    • Licensed Plumber
    • Sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
    • Lift 25 lbs above head

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Must be able to use an Iphone, Ipad & computer
    • Valid AR drivers license
    • Shifts may vary
    • Considered essential personnel during inclement weather
