    The  MammographyTechnologist (Mobile) is responsible for independently overseeing a full range of tasks related to the operation and success of the Mobile Mammography Program. In addition to operating and maintaining vehicle safety, as well as managing and coordinating various projects related to this community outreach program in order to ensure the successful achievement of the common goals. S/He performs duties and assumes responsibility of quality control and quality assurance according to the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).

    Salary offered is commensurate with experience.


    • Produces quality images and providing patient care in remote locations, will assist the patient engagement, pre-registration, and patient enrollment for mobile mammography program.
    • Requests prior mammographic examinations and medical records from non-UAMS facilities, and completes breast cancer risk assessments on site.
    • Works in the target counties and follows-up with women who require additional diagnostic imaging and/or other invasive procedures and ensures follow-up.
    • Collects patient demographic and insurance information and updates registration information in the designated systems.
    • Responsible for mailing and/or faxing patient results, reminder letters, and/or physician letters.
    • Maintains HIPPA compliance.
    • Follow-up will include patient navigation from screening to diagnosis to treatment.
    • Performs general office duties including but not limited to checking mail, answering phones, ordering supplies, etc.
    • Provides excellent customer service to patients, visitors, outside facilities, etc. via phone, face-to face, or written communication.
    • May order supplies as needed in SAP.
    • Coordinates patient encounters and track data, community physicians, and local resources into a seamless model of access and care to benefit patients, participating physicians, and family members.
    • Establishes and helps maintain communication among patients, their families, physicians, and entities in the health care system.
    • May perform other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school Diploma/GED
    • New graduate or less than one year experience
    • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist
    • Licensed by the State of Arkansas in Radiology
    • CPR certified

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Class B CDL or willing to obtain within 6 months of hire.
    • Recent clinical experience with Mammography
