    The Senior HRIS Analyst position will assist with reporting, security and data migration needs within the systems maintained by the Office of Human Resources and well as support the efforts of the HRIS team. This position will consult with internal and external customers in order to pull relevant data and provide the appropriate insights and analysis and is responsible for creating and executing plans and solutions in collaboration with the customer. The Senior HRIS Analyst maintains data integrity and process documentation through all efforts.

    Salary:  Negotiable


    Reporting and Analytics - 50%

    • Gather HR custom reporting requirements for key stakeholders.
    • Performs a range of HR data analysis and summary reporting and deliver reporting to stakeholders such as reports for Turnover and Retention, Lean Hiring, Position Control, EEO Compliance, EEO in Recruiting, Performance Evaluations, Appropriation Analysis, Audit Requests, Etc.
    • Analyzes, designs and builds new custom reports.
    • Becomes an expert in Workday reporting and dashboards to meet the reporting needs of UAMS.
    • Assists in gathering and communicating the UAMS reporting requirements to the project team.
    • Ensures master data quality and accuracy through audit reports.

    Security roles - 15% 

    • Manages the security roles within the HR systems including but not limited to the HCM system, the LMS, the ATS, the employee separation form system, the exit survey system and the FMLA system.
    • Builds new security roles as needed and edits the existing roles accordingly.
    • Partners with the IT Security team to provide guidance on what security changes are approved or not approved and what level of access employee’s need through an ad hoc process or through a security roles maintained by position.
    • Assists in gathering and mapping the security needs required with the Workday implementation and testing those security roles.

    Data Migration - 15%

    • Assists IT in managing the data feeds to and from all HR systems.
    • Troubleshoots problems and find resolutions.
    • Works with our vendors to maintain and create new feeds.

    Process Documentation - 10%

    • Accurately documents all work carried out in response to customer issues to assure consistency, transparency, validity and auditability of all troubleshooting efforts undertaken.

    Administrative and Ad hoc Support  - 10%

    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Information Systems or a relevant field PLUS seven (7) years of information system and business analytical experience OR a Master's degree in Human Resources, Business, Business Information Systems PLUS five (5) years of information system and business analytical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Experience with Microsoft Office, SQL, SQL Management Studio, Business Objects, Data.
    • Migration and Data Analytics experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master’s in Business Information Systems or a relevant field.
    • Experience with SAP and/or Workday.
    • Experience with upgrade analysis, testing and project lead.
    • Knowledge of data warehousing, visualization building, and Crystal Reports.
    • Experience with UAMS systems.
    • Strong understanding of HR processes and data.
    • Strong understanding of HRIS design, structure, functions and processes.
