    Mental Health Professionals at the Psychiatric Research Institute provide direct clinical services, including but not limited to, diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention to patients. Services are provided primarily in the office, community or home setting based on patient need and pay source permissions. The clinician must meet a clinical productivity/service access expectation as set by the supervisor and the department; complete clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with relevant policies and procedures; and participate in staff meetings, training, supervision, and continuing education activities as needed to maintain quality and coordination of care as well as professional licensure and/or certification.

    Salary offered commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Provides direct clinical services: Diagnostic assessment, individual therapy, family therapy, group therapy, collateral intervention, and crisis intervention. This includes mandated reporting in compliance with legal and professional standards and guidelines.
    • Provides Psychological Testing if licensure allows that is consistent with permission of their Professional State Licensure. 
    • Completes clinical and administrative processes and documentation in compliance with Medicaid, insurance, Joint Commission, program, and departmental policies and procedures. This may include participation in administrative tasks such as medical record reviews, treatment outcomes projects, and program development projects in addition to direct-service-related documentation.
    • Works with administrative support and utilization management staff as needed to facilitate scheduling, prior and continuing review authorization of services, and transfer/referral of clients to other programs as needed. 
    • Participates in regularly scheduled and as-needed departmental and program staff meetings, training, and supervision.
    • Participates in continuing education activities as required to maintain professional licensure and/or certification.
    • Maintains client confidentiality in accordance with legal and professional ethical standards. 
    • May perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Master's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field
    • Licensed by Arkansas Professional Board as a Mental Health Professional required
    • Must pass Child/Adult Abuse and Neglect Registry check, Adult Maltreatment Registry check, State Police background check, and drug test
    • Must pass TB screening

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

    Competencies:

    • Works with minimal supervision
    • Makes appropriate decisions related to treatment issues and mandated reporting independently, with direct clinical supervision on a quarterly and as-needed basis
    • Accountable for meeting documentation and billing deadlines and standards as set by program and departmental policies and procedures
    • Must pass Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Certification (if required)
    • Maintains client confidentiality in accordance with legal and professional ethical standards
    • Clinician must meet a clinical productivity/service access expectation as set by the supervisor and the department
    • Excellent time management and case load management skills and organization
    • Serves as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department as needed
    • Provides quality evidence-based treatment
