    The Senior Clinical Application Analyst supports IT EMR Services. Acts independently under general supervision, requiring minimal instruction and guidance. Supports clinical system applications, primarily Beacon. Demonstrates high level of proficiency and expertise on software functionality and integration.

    Salary offered commensurate with experience


    • Responsible for building system components, testing, implementation support and maintenance of assigned system applications. Performs in-depth analysis, trouble shooting, data collection, and root cause analysis and then identifies and/or implements potential solutions for issues related to the system or usage of it.
    • Analyzes/reviews and tests each product release and communicates needed changes to operations.
    • Must be able to document and follow system change control procedures for the system.
    • Works closely with other analysts, software vendors and operations to ensure that system integrity is maintained and that IT deliverables meet operational business needs.
    • Researches, analyzes, facilitates and implements business and system workflows in order to expedite process improvement and coordinate business practices.
    • Identifies best practices and implements opportunities for standardization.
    • Prepares activity and other reports as necessary.
    • Provides guidance and mentoring to more junior analysts.
    • Attains necessary certifications, as applicable, in a timely manner according to policy.
    • Provides On-Call support for application.
    • Other duties as assigned.


    Minimum qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field plus 5 years of experience in a clinical or IT setting - OR - Associate's degree in Nursing or related healthcare field plus 7 years of experience in a clinical or IT setting - OR - High School diploma/GED plus 9 years of experience in a clinical or IT setting
    • Degree must be from a state approved program in fields such as nursing, medical technology, rehabilitative therapy, pharmacy, respiratory therapy, clinical dietetics, etc
    • Requires current state licensure/registration in the respective field if it is a requirement of that field (i.e. RN, PT, RD, etc.)
    • Certifications: In accordance with IT Epic Certification Policy, must be certified in below application(s) or able to obtain certification within 90 days (per application) of the last required class
      • Beacon

    Preferred qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree and experience as listed above.
    • Experience in an academic medical center that uses Epic
    • Experience in ambulatory and inpatient oncology workflows
    • Experience in clinical research workflows
    • Experience with patient, quality, or safety improvement initiatives
    • Knowledge of MS Office suite
    • Knowledge of change management practices
