The Program Manager (PM) provides managerial oversight for assigned projects and interprofessional education programs with responsibility for grant project management, including reporting, monitoring and evaluating.  The Program manager assists the education directors in meeting the requirements of the office of Continuing Education for Institute for Digital Health and Innovation (IDHI) education programs as assigned. 


The Program Manager is the primary IDHI liaison for regional programs.  The PM is under the direction of the education directors for goal setting related to grant and program initiatives and interprofessional educational programs, and communicating with speakers.  The PM is lead in the design and presentation of education conferences, lectures, as well as online education delivery and reports. Some travel required (5% to 10%).

Salary offered commensurate with experience.


  • Leads the team related to educational and outreach efforts with rural hospitals and providers throughout Arkansas.
  • Responsible for goal setting related to project initiatives, reporting to the contracting or funding groups, directing outreach and educational efforts for rural providers and hospitals, and work closely with the education and instructional design team to meet the needs of the project.
  • Conducts needs assessments from rural hospitals and providers to determine their educational and resource needs.
  • Responsible for reporting to the contracting and funding agencies related to grant and contract deliverables.
  • Manages numerous projects independently as assigned with the ability to lay initial groundwork for new project, program and /or grant rollout.
  • Enlists the assistance of support staff as required in research and development of projects.
  • Assists in project/program development and provides project-related editing and writing, project scheduling and reminders, and facilitation of time-sensitive project completion.
  • Consults and collaborates with colleagues, develop, organize and manage assigned projects.
  • Coordinates internal and external personnel in activities to identify needs, problems and promotes accomplishments of projects.
  • Designs programs and seminars to meet the needs of CE (Continuing Education) deliverables to appropriate audiences and will be responsible for teleconferences for these providers.
  • Coordinates education project components from concept and design, to production and delivery. Components may include (but are not limited to) webinars, surveys, assessment tools, online and print resources, focus groups, advisory committee recruitment and management, presentations, workshops, and more.
  • Designs programs and seminars to meet the needs of rural providers.
  • Works closely with the continuing education providers to ensure compliance is maintained.
  • Communicates and conducts outreach efforts with health care administrators and board members to discuss the educational initiatives available for their facility.
  • Designs learning programs applying adult learning principles and systematic instructional design to create online training content.
  • Develops lessons, assessments, exercises and other methods of learning.
  • Develops storyboards and scripts for eLearning programs.
  • Assists in original design or redesign of traditional courses into distance learning opportunities.
  • Tests modules for functionality, user experience, accuracy and data integrity.
  • Provides reports that include demographic data, assess knowledge gain, and provides evaluation of eLearning activities.
  • Manages social media efforts, including content creation.
  • Uses both traditional and digital advertising mediums to reach both current and potential members via print advertising, digital advertising, direct mail, email campaigns, website design, blogging, newsletter creation and design, promotional graphics both online and in print format, and more.
  • Knowledge of public health education principles and practices to include needs assessment, information dissemination and community organization relating to common health problems; basic disease etiologies and preventive strategies; survey methods and basic statistics used to collect and interpret data; training methods.
  • Experience developing or reviewing and evaluating health-related informational material.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree PLUS four (4) years of project/program management experience (non-profit, Healthcare or association management preferred)
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Availability for overnight travel to attend meetings and provide on-site assistance; estimated at between 5-10%. 

The ideal candidate will possess a Master’s degree. 


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in Instructional Design, or related field in learning and development
  • Knowledge of Learning Management System (LMS) and other educational technology platforms is highly desirable
  • Certified Health Education Specialist (National Commission for Health Education Credentialing Inc.)
