The Dishwaser-Kitchen Assistant (Institutional Services Assistant), in conjunction with other assistants and under the direction of a supervisor, cleans dishes, the kitchen area, food preparation equipment, and utensils. The Institutional Services Assistant also removes trash while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Salary: $29,120 annually ($14.00 hourly)


  • Washes dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using a dishwasher or manually then places clean dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment in designated storage areas.
  • Maintains kitchen work areas, floors, equipment, or utensils in a clean and orderly condition while correctly using and storing appropriate chemical and cleaning supplies.
  • Sorts and removes trash then places it in designated pickup areas and clean/line garbage containers accordingly.
  • Complete all other duties assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
