Overview

The Maintenance Call Center Operator (Skilled Tradesman) is responsible for monitoring critical systems that serve the medical, educational, and research facilities on the UAMS Campus. These systems are vital to the safety, comfort, and general wellbeing of patients, students and employees. The Call Center Operator also facilitates workflow by creating work orders for various departments within UAMS, this is vital to the timely response to facility related issues and customer work requests.

Salary: $34,516 annually ($16.59 hourly)

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for continuous electronic monitoring of various building systems and alarms including (but not limited to): fire, HVAC, electrical failures, freezers, mechanical failures, and various other alarms.
  • Creates work requests from UAMS employees appropriately and efficiently to include (but not limited to): categorizing the request and routing the request to the appropriate group for resolution.
  • Generates management reports from the work order system and other sources as required by the Engineering & Operations Director or other Management staff as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining the work order system to include (but not limited to): equipment information, PM information, and employee information.
  • Acts as the Engineering & Operations liaison with “customers” to ensure issues relating to work orders are resolved and the resolution is communicated to the customer.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma plus 5 years of maintenance experience or call center experience
  • Computer program proficiency level: Intermediate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years of maintenance in a healthcare setting
