Overview

The  Rehab Speech Therapy Aide provides and ensures quality patient care adhering to UAMS Medical Center Code of Conduct and its Mission, Vision and Values and those of the Department and meets professional standards of care as prescribed by the State Health Department of Arkansas, and JCAHO. This position will work in both inpatient/acute and outpatient settings.

Salary offered commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

  • Assists licensed therapist in daily procedures for patients
  • Responsible for inventory and clinical maintenance
  • Transports scopes and testing equipment
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED PLUS one (1) year of experience with direct patient care PLUS two (2) years of computer experience using computers (preferably Excel, Word and Outlook)
  • BLS certification (must obtain certification within 30 days of starting this role)
  • Employees in this role must be fitted for, capable of donning and performing routine tasks in personal protective equipment to include N95 masks, Powered Air Purifying

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Experience in Speech-Language Pathology Therapy other rehab (PT/OT) settings
