The Project/Program Manager performs high-level, executive administrative and financial functions in support of the Arkansas Biosciences Institute, working with Faculty and Staff across multiple locations.

Salary offered commensurate with experience.


Biosciences Administration:

  • Coordinate and manage administrative functions for Arkansas Biosciences Institute, including purchasing, travel, and invoicing.
  • Develop, monitor, and manage annual ABI administration budget.

Annual Reporting:

  • Develop, publish, and disseminate ABI annual report and separate executive summary to the governor, Arkansas legislature, ABI-supported researchers, and others.
  • Update and maintain ABI website.
  • Collect, enter, and aggregate annual reporting data from ABI-supported researchers.

Collaborative Research:

  • Foster collaborative research with ABI-supported researchers at the five member institutions.
  • Coordinate annual research symposium.
  • Coordinate and manage special events related to bringing researchers together.
  • Assist with ABI-supported workshops and seminars as needed.


  • Coordinate quarterly board meetings.
  • Record board minutes.
  • Coordinate advisory committee members’ meetings, travel, reimbursements, and honoraria.

Quarterly Reporting:

  • Coordinate quarterly reports to the Arkansas Tobacco Settlement Commission and outside program evaluation team.
  • Other related duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or similar field plus four (4) years of project/program management experience.
  • Ability to coordinate and compile data.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Ability to manage annual, fixed budget.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with boards, advisory committees, external evaluators.
