The UAMS Department of Pathology is seeking a Lab Support Tech II to join our Histology team! Someone who is focused in patient care and takes pride in their skills and work ethic. Salary offered commensurate with experience

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with internal and external partners via telephone.
  • Performs and documents preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Accession patient specimens.
  • Maintain stock and inventory.
  • Conducts all tasks compliantly with CLIA, CAP and JCAHO regulations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma/GED plus two (2) years of experience as a Lab Tech or Assistant in a Clinical Laboratory or 60 hours of completed higher education in a health sciences program.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years of experience in a medical laboratory.
