Overview

The Project Coordinator is responsible for engaging faith-based and community organizations to refer underserved women (including but not limited to racial and ethnic minorities, uninsured, underinsured, and rural women) to screening mammography; educate primary care physicians about guidelines and recommendations for the early detection of breast cancer; develop tools to determine actual mammography capacity in target counties.

Salary offered commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the regional Breast Care coordinators for clinic logistics, responsible for advertising screening events within the community and ensure high participation at events.
  • Provide quarterly and yearly reports to ADH CDPC detailing project activities and outcomes.
  • Develop and submit evaluation plan and evaluation report for project activities.
  • Maintain BreastCare enrollment and follow-up information for eligible women in the Breast Care Online System (BOS).
  • Travel to rural locations and engage faith-based and community organizations to refer women to screening mammography with the UAMS Mobile Mammography Program and cervical cancer screening with local providers.
  • Travel to rural locations and educate primary care physicians and health care personnel about guidelines and recommendations for the early detection of breast cancer through screening mammography
  • Encourage the use of electronic health records to monitor and improve referral to screening mammography.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree PLUS three (3) years administrative/program coordination or similar experience.

OR

  • Associates degree PLUS five (5) years administrative/program coordination or similar experience.

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED PLUS seven (7) years administrative or program coordination or similar experience.

Preferred Qualfications:

  • Master's degree PLUS one (1) year of administrative/program coordination or similar experience.
